Wheelchair users and people with impaired mobility
Via the museums' main entrance wheelchair users and people with impaired mobility have full access to the exhibitions and facilities at Holstebro Kunstmuseum.

Lifts and an elevator make it easy to get around the museum.

Accessible toilets
There are several accessible toilets in the museum.

Motorised vehicles
For safety reasons it is only allowed to use motorised vehicles in the museum with a maximum speed of 6 km per hour (walking pace).

Public transportation

City bus
Use the bus stop "Sønderbrogade/Museet".

The station
Holstebro Station is located approx. 20 min. from the museum on foot from the museum.

Midtjyllands Airport
The airport is located approx. 40 min. by car from the museum.

Facilities

Archives and magazines
Access to archives and the museum's storage facilities is possible by prior arrangement well in advance of the visit.

English
Information on the art works and introductions to artists, periods and themes are available in English throughout the exhibtions.

Museum shop
In the museum shop you can buy catalogues, postcards, posters, design goods and toys etc.

Be careful

General
A visit to Kunstmuseum should be a good experience for all the museum's guests. Therefore, it is recommended that during the visit you take into account the museum's other guests, that children are accompanied by their parents/grandparents, and that you otherwise follow the staff's instructions.

Do not touch
Holstebro Kunstmuseum prioritizes the preservation and safety of the museum's works very highly. Therefore, the audience is asked to keep a distance from 0.5 meters to the objects on display. It is not permitted to touch the exhibited works of art.

Bags
Bags larger than 21 x 30 x 5 cm. are not allowed in the exhibitions. The same applies to backpacks in general. Large bags must be placed in lockers in the museum's wardrobe during the visit. Using the lockers is free, but you need a token which can be borrowed from the ticketing.

Food and drink
Food and drink are not allowed in the exhibitions.

Photography
Photography is permitted for private use, however without the use of a tripod, selfie stick or flash. For a fee, digital recording for reproduction purposes can be made available - however subject to the permission of the copyright holder.

Video surveillance
The museum is video monitored.

Baby prams
It is not permitted to bring prams, larger strollers or the like into the museum. The museum have special prams available.

Alarms
If an alarm sounds during the visit, the audience is asked to behave calmly and otherwise follow the staff's instructions.

Pets
It is not allowed to bring pets in the museum. Guide dogs are an exception.
